Hiya Folks,

Anyone catch the episode of Nature with Norbert Wu in Antarctica? There are
pectins under that ice! Didn't see any gastropods.

There's a special on coelacanths coming up on PBS. Not molluskan, but
wondrous all the same. I'm so taken with the beasts that I've named my
business after them.

I've been meaning to dump my aol account for months, finally going to do it.
AOL ain't what it used to be, doesn't follow through with Mac software
(nevermind the AOL software itself was an Apple program, which was why AOL
beat out compuserve and other competition.... anyway, I'm up to my ears in
junkmail)

We've set up other arrangements. The phone connections out here in the
hinterlands were too iffy for modems, so we're on cable. I can't clutter up
the main screen name's mailbox with conchmail, we're using it for our
business. So until I figure out how to get the mail to sort itself, I'll be
unable to sign up for conch-L.

I'll probably go through withdrawal. This is a great list. I've learned an
awful lot, sometimes a great tidbit to start my day (cephalopods with
bioluminescent ink! Oh what a wondrous world.) Thanks to Conch-L, not only
have I learned much, but I've gone some amazing places and met some wonderful
people. Here's hoping I'm not off too long.

Good Shelling!
