Conch-Listers,

I am glad to announce that The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum, Sanibel
Island, Florida, became, through an agreement with Conchologists of America
historian Mary Ruth Foglino, the depository of COA photo archives
representing more than 30 years of annual conventions.

The photo albums, which date back to the first COA meeting in Newport,
Rhode Island, in 1972, constitute a comprehensive illustrated "who's who"
in the world of American shell collecting.

Please feel free to make arrangements with Museum staff to visit and peruse
the albums in the Museum library next time you are on the shell island.

Cheers,

With warm regards to all,

José
