After a tremendous and often frustrating effort, the Division of Molluscs
is pleased to offer an online key to the land snails of the Great Smoky
Mountains National Park, USA. The key uses the Lucid Player, which must be
downloaded first (for free). The key may then be accessed (as well as many
other Lucid keys). The program is only for the PC.

Although we have spent extensive time running and testing the key, we know
that it has limitations and undoubtedly some errors. Please feel free to
comment directly to us if you have problems. We will be adding to it (more
pictures, newer maps, etc.) after this year's field season.

Pay particular attention to the web page link on how to download the files.
Once in the key, read the home or introductory page to learn how to use the
key's features.

In the works, the snails of the Midwestern USA and the freshwater mussels
of North America.

Enjoy.
