Hi Conch-Lers everywhere,
Back in the 1970 and 80s, my second passion (besides shells) was
carnivorous plants. As with
many of the habitats we have lost which once supported large numbers
of shells, many of the
pristine bogs and savannas throughout the Gulf Coast have vanished. I
have in my "vault" video
tape of some amazing sites which were among the best anywhere for
carnivorous plants. Many people who remember my contributions to the
study of these fascinating botanical marvels have asked me to make my
video footage available on DVD, so I will begin soon to work on that
project. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who has interests beyond
malacology, so please contact me directly for additional information.
I'm sorry that this is way off topic, but members who are interested
will appreciate the "heads up"
on this.
Best regards,
Jim
