Dear all,
I am breaking my lurker status for just a moment to
ask a quick question. What does 'cepaea' mean? This
actually doesn't have anything to do with mollusks,
but rather a plant called Sedum cepaea. I think it
means 'like an onion' (derived from the Latin 'cepa')
but a friend of a friend thinks it means 'of gardens'.
The Cepaea snails were mentioned at one point, so I
thought I'd ask ya'll what it means. I have a bad
feeling that he's right, but I hope not.

Best,
James
