Dear Francesco,

To my experience the best place to store the shells is keep it in a
dark place. but we got problem with cypraea specially cypraea aurantium
which is easily faded. To restore the colour of the cypraea specially
aurantium is to freeze it under the vegetable area for a week and you will
see that the original colour when you bought it still fresh will be restore.

    Thanks,

     Tony dela Cruz
