MELVILL-TOMLIN MOLLUSC COLLECTION
NOW ONLINE!
After some 25 years of hard work, involving many staff (permanent, temporary and volunteers) the National Museum and Galleries of Wales (NMGW) are proud to announce that the entire Melvill-Tomlin collection is databased and online. It has been available in part for several years but now the entire collection is available to search for genera, species, type specimens, localities and many other fields of interest. In the near future we also hope to start displaying images of our type specimens.

In addition to the Melvill-Tomlin collection there is data from many of our other collections including L. W. Dillwyn, W. Hoyle, J. T. Marshall, R. Viader, T. Pain and many more. Our site also includes lots of other information about collectors associated to the MT collection, our other collections and research being carried out by staff.
