Dear Cecil,

this is not a easy work...let's try:

1. You can see pictures from typical Xanthochorus cassidiformis I have added
to my website:

http://www.patagonianshells.com.ar/index.php?link=item&code=627
http://www.patagonianshells.com.ar/index.php?link=item&code=628

as well as most of the chilean Fissurella' species:

http://www.patagonianshells.com.ar/index.php?link=caracoles&familia=FISSURELLIDAE

About your questions,

Number 2 and 3. Fissurella maxima

4, 5, 6, and 7. I think they could be Fissurella picta lata (Sowerby 1835).
F. picta picta is also different and it occurs in South Argentina and
Chile).

8. Fissurella costata
9. Fissurella sp. (young)
10 and 11. ? Fissurella stellata Reeve 1850. I am not sure if it is a valid
name, maybe it is syn. of F. maxima.
12. F. maxima
13. Lottia ceciliana "complex". I don't know if someone can tell you exactly
how many species of this genera there are in Chile.

Hope it helps.
Best regards,

Andres R. Bonard
