Hello, Listers!

I have beencataloguing a few small Strombus, and I notice on the internet shell catalogue that there are different genera listed for many species, e.g. Canarium.  What is the consensus of the level of these different names?  Are they new generic names for some members of the Strombidae, or are they subgeneric?
