Hubricht's monograph is an incredibly helpful resource. I hope that one
day we can have a similar resource with non-native terrestrial
gastropods. Although the range of non-native species can change so
quickly, there are still so few resources to use, especially current
ones.

This is a good illustration of what Conch-L can do to aid collaboration.
Jody, As you may know, Leslie treated the non-native landsnails of
eastern
North America with relative disregard. He purposely excluded them from
his
magnum opus (Hubricht, 1988).* Somehow I hadn't thought to go to the
searchable databases malacology collections in the Field Museum
(Chicago)
and Florida Museum of Natural History (Gainesville). As far as I know,
these two are the two most extensive such resources for nonmarine snails
-
at least in the United States, and I thank you for bringing these to our
attention. Links are given below, and here is the gist of the discovery
for
additional records of Trichia hispida (Linnaeus, 1758):
