Dear Marien:

I have already made a check-list of the species reported to the Miocene of
Santa Maria Island (Azores) based on the following literature: Bronn (1860,
in Hartung, 1860; in Reiss, 1862), Mayer (1864), Cotter (1888-1892),
Friedlander (1929), Agostinho (1937), Berthois (1950, 1951, 1953), Ferreira
(1952, 1955), Krejci-Graff et al. (1958), Zbyszewski et al. (1961) and
Zbyszewski & Ferreira (1961, 1962).
Most of the names are outdated, but it is nevertheless a lot of species. If
possible, could you please do a research in your bibliographic database
(Miocene and Pliocene western American molluscs) and send me the result, so
I do not ask you papers that are not necessary?

Thanks in advance.

Best wishes,

Sérgio
