Dear Conch-Lers,

those who are interested in scaphopod molluscs may have a look to my
scaphopod homepage at www.berndsahlmann.de. There is also a page
(http://www.berndsahlmann.de/html/scaph-download.html) where you can
download the actual versions (MS ACCESS 2000-format) of my scaphopod
databases on species (recent&fossil), distribution etc as well as a
comprehensive list of literature on scaphopods (approx. 3700 entries). The
references are also published in a searchable online version at
www.mollbase.org/scaphopoda , hosted on the server of the "House of
Nature"-Conchological Museum at Cismar, Nortnern Germany.

On other pages of the scaphopod homepage you will find some information on
the histology of Dentalium, Entalina and other genera and two interesting
pictures of scaphopod trails in the deep sea bottom (courtesy of D. Hughes,
Scotland) (http://www.berndsahlmann.de/html/scaph-facts_2.html)

Best regards
Bernd Sahlmann
from Munich
