Good Friday evening!

I just got a call from a dear friend of mine. He and I shelled from
Miami down to the Florida Keys when we were just in high school back
in 1966, all the way up until he moved to New Jersey in the late
1970s. Now he has a serious illness in his family and he is forced to
sell his modest collection of sea shells (as well as his stamp and
coin collections).

I have already agreed to purchase some of his shells. If anyone else
is interested in some nice shells at reasonable prices, contact me
for a list. He and I will be cataloging this weekend, so I should
have everything listed by late on Sunday.

Thanks in advance and happy 4th of July weekend!
Jim

P.S. Florida wildlife officials are saying this will be the best Bay
Scallop season since 1995! Population densities through last year
were just two scallops on average per 600 square meters. This year
that count is over 40!!! If you've been thinking about visiting the
Florida Big Bend area to go scalloping, this is definitely the year
for it. The scallops are still smallish, but they grow very fast!
