The yellow shell is as Kurt mentions, Calochochlia cf.
festiva, a species that I identified when the shells first
started to come out of the Philippines with data stating it
was from Mindanao. This data was bogus as is Taiwan! There
is no question as to what species this is. I would like to
see an apertural view of the red shell. C. festiva does vary
in color, but from the spire view it is difficult to confirm
the identification. I don't know what benefit the person gets
out of saying they are from Taiwan? Many species of land
shells have limited distributions and with correct
identification, the general localities can be confirmed or
refuted.
