Javier kindly informed me that the Canary Island database is accessible in
the internet via:

and the Lista de especies marinas de Canarias can also be downloaded as a
pdf-file from this source. Maybe this link is of interest to other
collectors.

The biodiversity database for Canary Islands, 2003, published by the
Canarian Government,  recognizes Epitonium fischeri as valid species in
Canaries.

I don't know the exact distribution in the islands but I've got an specimen
identified as fischeri from Lanzarote.
(I'll send you the photo as soon as I find it between all my boxes)

Northeast Atlantic Bathyal and Abyssal Aclididae, Eulimidae, Epitoniidae
(Mollusca, Gastropoda), Epitonium fischeri (Watson, 1897) is known only from
Madeira.

  I note that Epitonium tryoni (de Boury, 1913) resembles E. fischeri and
has a broader distribution in the northeastern Atlantic.

  If you can send me photographs of this specimen off the list, I may be
able to identify it.
