As I'm processing shells from Micronesia (especially micros), I'm
discovering that I've probably got some of the same (or similar)
species from other Indo-Pacific locations--even from Kuwait.

Here's the difficulty: won't I overlook name revisions and thereby
duplicate my efforts? For instance, there's a Finella pupoides A.
Adams, 1860 in the Micronesia bunch, according to Kay (1979). I
recognized the specific name and sure enough I had an Obtortio pupoides
A. Adams, 1860 from Kuwait, according to Bosch, et al (1995).

The latter generic placement is confirmed by Moretzsohn & Kay's update
to the Hawaiian Marine Molluscs.

But the Indo-Pacific Molluscan Database still lists Finella pupoides as
the senior name. Obviously, the database has some parts that are at
least 10 years out of date.

Is there a most up-to-date or most reliable reference people are using?
