Dear Conch-lers,

please glance at this Tigris specimen, toothless and with melanistic base:

http://www.shellauction.net/auction_shell.php?id=88672

Recently I saw other almost two identical specimens in another well-know
auction on-line.
I am very doubtfull of the authenticity of such shells, but, having examined
one of them, I didn't notice anything else than just an irregularity all
along the labial side, apparently totally glossed over by nacre.
What do you think about?
Perhaps our friend Guido from Cebu can help us?!

Thank you
Francesco
