The Department of Malacology at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia seeks a research assistant to help with a variety of research and curatorial projects. Two areas of current research are land snails of Jamaica and marine mollusks of the Philippines. Responsibilities will include sorting field samples, photographing specimens, helping to create interactive online keys for identifying species of mollusks, computer-cataloguing specimens, digitizing information from publications on mollusks, and helping with maintenance and organization of the specimen collections.
