I hope it DOES confuse some 80th century palenontologists! They
may rediscover what it means to wrack your brains.
 
However, on the subject of unexpected species on the beach...
 
There was a case in Hawaii of a couple "salting" an often-frequented
beach on Oahu which lots of common Indo-Pacific shells because they
felt that there just weren't enough seashells to look at. A noble
cause but it produced some anxious local shellers -- until the
source of the shells was discovered.
