Helloha:

Have any of you Trivia fanatics have observed small spurs
(threads)running our of the concentric cords. In the Hawaiian species,
they vary from very week to about a third the diameter of the concentric
cords. In some specimens they form axial threads in continuous lines
near the base.

I photographed animals of 4 species last week, and first noticed the
sculpture detail when I photographed the shells with enough
magnification to fill a photo frame. In the past I hadn't noticed them.

The question is: Do other Trivia exhibit this micro sculpture?

Aloha, Have a good year.

Wes
