Dear Doug, The spinella form by Dr. Clench is found all around Florida.
It is larger and has a protruding parietial shield which is fragile.
The other form found thoughout the rest of the Caribbean. It is smaller
and the edge of the shield is rounded off. If I'm wrong I'm sure
someone will tell me. Oh, by the way the 17 edition of Rice's price
list of shells for 1999 is available. Write me personally please. If a
whole web page can be on Conch-L, I guess I can mention the book.
