Dear James, Chicoreus dunni Petuch, 1987. It is described and pictured
in "New Caribbean Molluscan Faunas by Edward J. Petuch. After this
shell was described it was really over collected. The area of its
habitat is in Eleuthera, Bahamas. Many new species have come out of
this area. I understand that the salinity is not very high in this area
and many of the species look like they are just anemic specimens of
shells that are already named. Just my opinion of course. But new
species in shallow water in only one location just doesn't add up.
