P.S.  And for those irate folks who haven't written yet; we were not, I
repeat not killing the rattlesnakes.  We were measuring and cataloging
them.  No one (person, snake, or lizard) got hurt except yours truly who
backed up into a very mean prickly pear cactus while trying to
photograph a greater earless lizard
