Flavio,

I also recently got a cone with the name C. guanche and no author.  It
looks a lot like a form of C. ventricosus (syn. C. mediterraneus).  But
on the other hand, the Canary Islands certainly have their share of
unique shells.  So who knows, I'll wait for the book version -- maybe
someday RKK will come to terms and do the next volume...nah.
