Hello everybody,

Can someone help me to more information about Strombus pugilis form
nicaraguensis Fluck. Although this is a synonym of pugilis, I would really
like to know what mr. Fluck meant, as I have got several so-called
nicaraguensis, but I can't find any characteristics which could have
formed the basis for Mr. Fluck to describe this form. I only know that it
might be just a dwarf form from Nicaragua (very original locality, don't
you think), but then I have another problem: I only have the dwarf
population of pugilis from the Brasilian coast, but not a single pugilis
from Nicaragua. In fact, I'm also looking for these shells, but would
appreciate any help on this topic.

Looking forward to hearing from at least a few of you very soon,
Best regards,
