Since my boss is out, things are a little bit easy going around here.

A question to our experts.

After years trying to buy the best books and magazines on conchology, after
receiving several copies of articles, now I have a bunch of them.

Each shell I receive I try to check its identification. This is quite easy
when we deal with books, since they usually talk about families or
malacological provinces or subregions.

My question is: if you need to check for a shell (example: Strombus
ochroglottis), how do you search for it in your magazines/articles? One by
one? Do you keep a kind of title database? If positive, how do you do it?

I have about 4 years of subscription of Vita Marina, La Conchiglia and
American Conchologist. I also have all issues of Siratus and several copies
of articles, but they are almost useless for me in this kind of search,
since I do not have any index and obviously to check one by one to see if
there is any info about a specific shell is time consuming and I have no
patience to do it.

Since I said that in this case my magazines are useless, suggestions of
donations of my magazines are not welcome. Please I'd appreciate other type
of suggestions.  ;-))
