I can't help you on your minature Melongena, but the land shell sounds
right.  Polygra cereolus (Waxy Polygyra), Muhlfeld, 1818 is listed in
Abbott's "Compendium of Landshells," "Central and southern Florida in
calcareous soils.  9mm form with 5 whorls is carpenteriana Bland, 1860."
There are several species in this genus found in Florida, all look like a
flat coiled rope with differences in the number of coils, aperture, and
surface structure.  To be safe you might want to list it as cf. or even just
the genus name.  Have a great shell show.
