I am posting this request for information on both the Maps-L and Carta
lists; pardon the duplication.
 
I have several maps of the Middle East, Persian Gulf, U.A.E. States, and
Saudi Arabia.  However, the person wishing to use the road information on
the maps was concerned that each map showed different roads.
 
Does anyone know the condition of the roads in this area (i.e.:number of
lanes, traffic volume, safety, use of heavy trucks and transport, time to
travel between major cities)?  The person asking does not need detailed maps
yet; although we are trying to get the most recent from sources in that area.
A general description would be useful at this point.
