Planting material dry weight in the planting section of FileX refers to
transplant weight for crops such as rice and tomatoes as well to define the
"seed" weight for root crops such as potato and cassava.

The CROPGRO models use the seed weight as defined in the cultivar file to
initialize plant weight at emergence.
