Hello DSSAT users

Does anyone have experience with the automatic planting routine option for
use in modelling 'subsistence farmer/rainfed cropping systems'.

E.g. a sensitivity analysis or validation against real planting conditions
when farmers plant.

Default :
Earliest -
Latest -
Lower soil water content 40
Uppermost soil water content 100
Soil management depth 30
Max Soil temp 40
Min Soil temp 10

(I have put max. soil temp to 45)

I am looking at farming systems in Honduras and I think that the 30 cm is
too strict for planting.

I expect that subsistence farmers wait for 2 or 3 rains and then plant.

Therefor I am thinking of putting the s.m. depth to 20 cm in stead of 30 cm.

However I am open to your suggestions.
Thank you very much,
