Here's my bit:

 Title: Development of combined seasonal weather and crop productivity
forecasting techniques.
 Name: Andrew Challinor, with Tim Wheeler, Julia Slingo, David Grimes.
 Institution: University of Reading depts of Met. and Agric.
 Current location: as above.
 Yrs experience in modeling: myself, 5 - 3 forested boundary layers, 2
crops.
 Keywords: Seasonal forecast models, spatial scale.
 Crops: Groundnut currently, more crops to follow.
 Models: in-house large area model.
 Applications: large-scale productivity forecasting
 Summary: Starting with met. data and measured yields, we have conducted
an analysis of appropriate spatial scales for the modelling of groundnut
in India, by examining the rainfall/yield relationship on various scales.
The in-house large area model is aimed at predictions on the scale
determined by 1) this analysis, and 2) considerations of the scale on
which seasonal forecasting operates. Hence the large-area model runs on
the subdivisional (~200-300km) scale, using weather and soils data at or
below that scale. At its core is a point-wise model of intermediate
complexity (less than DSSAT, for instance).
