Hello,
I am entering the plot information for one of my experiments. I was
reading from "Experimental Design and Data Collection Procedures for
IBSNAT: The minimum data set for systems analysis and crop simulation".
IBSNAT Technical Report 1 Third Edition, Revised 1988. This document
states that IBSNAT assumes that collaborators will use a randomized
complete block design. The data I have for my fields does not follow
this. For example one field has only one treatment for the whole
field. When I try to enter plot area per rep (80812m2) it says invalid
plot area. Other experiments have varying degrees of fertilizer
application but the varying fertilizer rates are not systematic. I guess
my questions are as follows:
Is there an area limit to the size of the plot, if not why am I getting
the "invalid plot area"?
Is it a problem if the experiment is not set up as a randomized complete
block design, if so any ideas on how to get around this?
Is my source listed above for "Minimum data set collection" the most current?
Thank you very much for any help.
