Hello Dr. Caldeira :
 
1.  I recommend that you NOT run each module individually, except if you are
debugging the code.
 
2.  You can run the models stand alone, but you need to make sure that all
your input files and executables are in the correct directory.
 
3.  Say you want to run soybean as part of DSSAT v3.
 
You type the following commands:
 
 
 CD \DSSAT3\SOYBEAN
 
\DSSAT3\MDRIV940.EXE MINPT940.EXE CRGRO940.EXE
 
This should work.
 
4.  If you want to run maize you would type :
 
CD \DSSAT3\MAIZE
 
\DSSAT3\MDRIV940.EXE MINPT940.EXE GECER940.EXE
 
5.  We developed the shell to make it easy on the user to run the crop
models, access the data files, etc.
