Next Wednesday we will be hosting the state National Archery in the Schools (NASP) tournament at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry. Over 600 students will be exhibiting the archery skills they developed as a part of classroom instruction.
As one season ends, we begin working toward our next.  NASP has grown steadily for the past seven years and offers students a great opportunity to develop confidence while building a new skill.

The DNR will be holding a NASP Basic Archery Instruction (BAI) workshop at Marion County High School on March 27, 2013. The workshop will begin at 8:00 and end at 4:30. Participation in this workshop is the first step in receiving your NASP certification or getting re-certified and becoming eligible for grant funds used to purchase archery equipment for your school.
