"Shells of Hawaii" is a full-color small book without the detailed
descriptions found in Kay's "Hawaiian Marine Shells". "Shells of Hawaii"
also includes some of the land snails such as the extinct Carelia spp. Ot
should be treated as an addition to the 1979 work.

Thanks to all who gave the informative responses about Humfrey's book.

Anybody know if the paperback Shells of Hawaii by Kay and Schoenberg (1998)
is the same as Kay's 1979 hardcover?

Also, is Seashells of Eastern Arabia by Peter Dance (1998) basically the
same as
the one credited to Bosch, Dance, Moolenbeek, Oliver (1995)?
