Hi, All
I haven't bothered you with scallop questions for a while; I've been busy using Rombouts.
Question: Do you agree with Rombouts that "Decatopecten plica' and "Decatopecten striatus" are the same species, as there are intergrades? I have been going over upwards of thirty shells, most of which were labelled "striatus"
by the dealers, and I would agree. Also, isn"t Rombouts spelling "Dacadopecten" a misspelling? Thirdly, if "a" is the ending on "plica," shouldn't the ending be a, and thus "striata"
on this pssible synonym.

Thanks ahead of time, Linda B.
