I have received a snail mail query from a man in Austin TX who asks:

1. When I was a kid in Galveston, we had many oystershell sidewalks but
they disappeared with the 1960's. What happened?

2. We wanted to buy some Capiz shell wind chimes like the ones that used
to be imported by the thousands. Sometime in the 1980's they
disappeared. Has the Philippines stopped their export, and when?

Can someone answer these questions?
