Dear Andy et al.,

Having just tended to Dr. Watters, visited the Exogyra website, and ordered
the 3rd bivalve volume of the Treatise, I must now report a little more on
the Exogyra species given me last Wednesday by my buddy. He DID collect it
VERY close to the Florida-Alabama border on the east side of US 231. He
states that the site was less than a mile south of the intersection of SR
55. The specimen was in the roadcut, and a creek parallels that side of the
road along this stretch. No other material was brought back, but the
collector had no interest in more than a single souvenir for his
shell-fanatic friend.

I suspect this occurrence is likely the outcome of one of those "reworking"
scenarios of which Andy R. and David wrote.

Harry
