More detailed general coverage can be found in the Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology series, published by the Geological Society of America and University of Kansas.  Part L (Mollusca 4) is the ammonoid section.  Like all Treatise volumes, there is a general overview of the group followed by a genus-level survey of the group.

The Bivalvia do often seem neglected.  For genus-level identification, the Treatise again provides a useful reference.  For Indo-Pacific species, in addition to the Bivalves of Australia volumes already mentioned, the Japanese literature is reasonably extensive and helpful, and Brian Morton has done a lot with the Hong Kong fauna.  However, much remains relatively scattered through the technical literature.
