Fellow shell-collectors,

Doesn't having a collection mean that others see your collection? I know
it's primarily for one's own satisfaction, but am I the only one who assumes
that other knowledgeable people will see it occasionally?

I've been collecting for 40 years and never had any serious collector visit.
When I was a kid, I charged unsuspecting relatives and family friends 20
cents for the honor of seeing my "museum." The price has dropped due to
supply and demand laws.

Anybody else had zero or single-digit visitation from serious collectors?
And how many years have you been collecting?

David Kirsh
Durham, NC

P.S. Shell exhibits may serve some of the purpose of showing what collectors
have, but to me an exhibit is not the same as a collection.
