Hello to all,
Can anyone provide me information about a cone shell I recently received - it
is labeled Conus alteralbus Kiener 1849 and was collected in the Cape Verde
Islands. It is a very pretty cone, 33mm in size, with 4 broken white bands
over a very dark black background. Is this a subspecies of another cone? I
have never come across this name before. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.
