I have finally had time to look these up.  Roding, 1798(should have umlaut on the o) described Trochus tranquebaricum, citing a Chemnitz figure (non-binomial).  According to Sherborn, Pfeiffer described Trochus tranquebaricum in 1840 in a paper on Chemnitz, so Pfeiffer's name is probably an objective junior synonym as well as a homonym of Roding's name.  I do not know if there is a senior synonym.  Roding also cited Gmelin, who is binomial, but I do not know if Gmelin cited the same Chemnitz figure.
