Hi,

Recently some conch-l subscribers haven't been getting all of the list's
email (some may not be getting any of the list's email).  This is not
because there is anything wrong with their subscriptions or that the
listserv computer is blocking mail.

The problem is due to how listserv works.  The program listserv is run by
many computers around the world and these computers interact with each
other forwarding emails from different lists to different list
subscribers.  If a listserver can't send the list email on it stores
the email until it can.  This is a good thing when every thing is working
and a not to easy to fix thing when everything is not working.

Our listserver (listserv.uga.edu) is sending out email to all conch-l
subscribers.  However, at least one of the other listserv computers we
forward list mail to is not forwarding the mail on to other listserv
computers or to subscribers.

Unfortunately we only know the addresses of the listserv computers our
listserv contacts, and we have asked the system administrators for those
computers check with the system administrators there list servers send
list email to, etc. etc. .......
Tracking down the computer that is not forwarding the list email can
be a long process - so please be patient with us.

I did want to let everyone know that we are aware of the current problem
and we are trying to fix it.
