According to the Malacolog database, Morum lamarckii is considered a valid species, though there is compelling reasons to closely compare it with M. oniscus. See the Malacolog listing for Western Atlantic Morum species at:

Subject: Morum lamarcki vs M. oniscus

Does anyone know for sure whether Morum lamarcki is a synonym of M. oniscus?
