Dear all,

Ross Mayhew has been so kind to put a picture on the Conch-l identification
site for me. It is a very strange shell I obtained from an old collection.
It was found in North-West Australia - sorry, my information is no more
detailed than that. I know I am supposed to be an expert in Australian
shells, but I don't even know what family to put this thing in. Turridae?
Any suggestions? Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

You can see it at:

regards

Patty
