To George and others,

It is very plain that considerable time has been spent
taking and posting so many images of terrestrial and marine
shells. However, it is likewise plain that you didn't
do this for the pleasure of persons subscribed to the
CONCH-L listserver, you did it to offer these shells for
sale.

The "disclaimer" which you add to your posting of a direct
link into your commercial site is plainly disingenuous.
The rules of this listserver do not allow its use for
commercial activity whether for-profit or not.

I am only suggesting that you make the images available
without the direct commercial link. If persons who wish
to buy from you see something that they really wish to
have, they will find the link in your 'signature' at the
end of the posting and proceed on to your commercial area.

All of us interested in shells like viewing nice images--
and yours are VERY high quality--but there are commercial
venues on the WEB for the transactions of the shelling
business.

I'm sure there are others on CONCH-L who would tell us where
commercial urges can be indulged, but this listserver is
not supposed to be one of them.

Again, Aloha!

"Dear Bob,

You must think before to suggest, can you imagine a e-mail to Conch-L with
more than 200 URL of each images?

If the shell images are interesting and useful for shell collectors what
is the difference if there are in commercial or personal site?

I worked very hard more than a month for to prepare these images, why
don't share these with the others collectors? If you feel pressure of
commercialism don't visit the commercials site.

I don't need to advertise my site, even in my signature I don't mention my
activities.

  Best regards.
  George"
