The question for the week: Does anyone have any idea how many
species of shell bearing critters there are? Can the numbers be
divided between marine (univalve & bivalve), fresh water (the same),
and land snails (no bivalves here). We know that any accurate count
may change weekly, but it would be nice to have some estimate.
    THE QUESTION MAN

The facts, though interesting----are irrelevant.
