I agree with Patty that Editors neet input to improve their product. A
pat on the back is very encouraging, but we all know that things can
always be done better. To improve a magazine (IHSN is a magazine rather
than a home page) we need more specific suggestions on what needs to be
improved.

For some time I have considered the portal (the URL that has links to
the magazine issues and sections and information about the organization)
was getting pretty crowded looking, but various things came in the way
of changing it (like how to present the information). I gather that it
is that portion that you feel needs change.

Yesterday I worked on the December portal document and there will be a
new format in December. Please advise any changes you would reccommend
after you see it. The portal will have 14 inch pages, and isn't
intended for printing as it is primarilly meant to be links to the
sections of the four issues on line. There will be one page of links
for each issue on line. The links are only to the sections not to
the articles as that would again make the format too crowded. The rest
of the portal is information about the HMS and IHSN and links to
semipermanent references.

The magazine stays the same for now, but I am open to suggestions for
improvements (that are within my capabilities and my program's
cabilities) The magazine is in discrete pages to make it referencable,
and for long term referencing capability is available on CD since all
Internet items are temporary by nature.
