Dear all,

On this list at various times, we have lamented the lack of an up-to-date
reference book on worldwide shells.

I believe that between ourselves, we have enough knowledge and dedication
to produce a guide that is really useful for identifying the most common
worldwide shells, as well as giving collectors a point of reference based
on the latest taxonomy, listing the latest books and publications and
helping collectors find additional information.

Exactly how this project will work out, I do not yet know, but I have
started putting some species together, which you can view under 'Manual of
Worldwide Seashells' in this link:
http://www.capricornica.com/world_shells/index.htm

I invite constructive comments regarding any material on these pages

regards

Patty
