We only recently confirmed that this species is also south of
Jacksonville,
FL - the first Atlantic coast record.

I'm an amateur shell collector.

On March 25 (Tuesday), I found several paired valves of Perna viridis on
the sandy stretch along the southeast corner of the Bonner Bridge at the
Oregon Inlet in North Carolina.

Has this been reported before?
